Senior Project Manager - Fit Out

Role overview

We are hiring a Senior Project Manager for fit-out delivery on high-rise projects in Qatar. This role focuses on leading the fit-out phase through planning, execution, testing and commissioning, snagging, handover, and final close-out.

The right candidate will have substantial experience at senior project management level and a strong background in delivering fit-out works on high-rise PMC assignments.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the fit-out stage for high-rise developments from initial planning through handover.
• Direct fit-out works so they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the expected quality level.
• Manage scope, programme, cost, and risk while keeping project goals aligned with client needs and business priorities.
• Coordinate the wider delivery team, including contractors, consultants, architects, engineers, and support personnel.
• Track progress, prepare regular status updates, maintain financial control, and produce project reports.
• Make sure fit-out activities are properly integrated with all disciplines and delivered according to project procedures.
• Assess and guide contractor performance, shop drawings, material submittals, mock-ups, and installation quality.
• Lead testing, commissioning, snagging, handover, and close-out activities for fit-out packages.
• Help resolve site issues, commercial concerns, claims, and interface problems during the fit-out phase.
• Prepare and continuously update project plans, short-term look-aheads, and forecasts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a closely related discipline.
• PMP certification or membership in an equivalent recognized professional body.
• More than 20 years of experience in project management or construction management, with strong exposure to fit-out delivery.
• Background as a Senior Project Manager on high-end fit-out packages for complex high-rise or large building projects.
• Solid understanding of fit-out coordination, finishing trades, testing and commissioning, snagging, and handover procedures.
• Experience leading contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams through the fit-out phase.
• Clear knowledge of commercial management, claims handling, and project close-out requirements.
• Experience with modern project delivery and coordination tools, including BIM.
• International consultancy experience is preferred, along with at least 5 years of experience in the Middle East.
• Ability to manage technical and delivery matters across all disciplines involved in fit-out projects.
