Senior Project Engineer – Offshore Decommissioning

Overview

We are searching for an experienced Senior Project Engineer specialized in offshore decommissioning to lead projects from early definition through to offshore asset removal and disposal in Qatar. This critical role focuses on ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution while meeting stringent industry and project standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of offshore decommissioning initiatives, from initial concept stage to final removal and disposal.
• Manage coordination of multidisciplinary engineering efforts during Concept, Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), and Engineering, Procurement, Installation, and Commissioning (EPIC) phases.
• Ensure projects meet planned schedules, budgets, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
• Lead project meetings, prepare reports, and engage with all relevant stakeholders effectively.
• Foster strong collaboration between engineering and execution teams to drive project success.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor of Science in Engineering; a Master's degree is considered an advantage.
• Have a minimum of 12 years’ experience in oil and gas project engineering or project management.
• Demonstrated expertise in offshore decommissioning projects.
• Experience spanning Concept, FEED, and EPIC phases of projects.
• Excellent communication, reporting capabilities, and stakeholder management skills.
• Membership in recognized professional bodies (such as PMI, IChemE, IMechE) is beneficial.
