Senior Performance Insight Specialist

Role Overview

This position requires strict adherence to all departmental policies, processes, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent and controlled execution of work. The Senior Performance Insight Specialist is responsible for overseeing daily operations related to performance analysis and manages the activities of Performance Insight Analysts.

Key Responsibilities

• Regularly coordinate with other Centers of Excellence (CoE) workstreams, external entities, and the Planning and Control Department to identify enhancement needs for existing reports and dashboards.
• Develop and automate standard business reports and ensure they align with information management and reporting best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Planning and Control teams and external IT groups to source necessary data and produce insightful reports and dashboards reflecting key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Supervise and assist in the creation of ad-hoc reports by clarifying information requests, defining requirements, and identifying areas for metric improvements.
• Maintain focus on ultimate business objectives when generating both regular and ad-hoc reports.
• Develop and upkeep data mining models and enterprise data warehouse (EDW) marts to support advanced analytics.
• Perform statistical analyses to ensure business strategies are accurately defined and backed by data.
• Maintain the architecture, design, and data models of EDW and related data marts to provide optimal support for Business Intelligence and business units.
• Document and publish structural and modeling information related to EDW and data marts.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues, such as uniqueness, integrity, and completeness, adhering to defined data management policies.
• Utilize data profiling and quality assurance tools to detect root causes of data integrity issues.
• Adopt project management practices to effectively supervise the Performance Insight Analysts and ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Support new internal Business Intelligence projects to ensure effective and prompt implementation.
• Monitor Business Intelligence Management (BIM) processes to guarantee IT alignment with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Document and track business requirements to recommend swift and effective solutions.
• Ensure business requirements are completed and that results are properly documented and published.
• Guide Performance Insight Analysts in their daily tasks and provide support in overcoming obstacles.
• Serve as a mentor and coach, conducting regular knowledge transfer sessions for the team.
• Work with business unit representatives to understand their strategies and reporting requirements, developing an approved list of standard reports.
• Collaborate with IT to communicate updates on business requirements, data, and systems.
• Ensure that BI reporting aligns with defined processes and best practices.
• Continuously seek improvements in reporting procedures, data acquisition, and report presentation, taking initiatives to implement enhancements.
• Comply with all safety, quality, and environmental management policies to maintain a healthy workplace environment.
• Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is required.
• Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant experience designing and implementing Enterprise Data Warehouse environments within financial institutions.
• Prior experience in the financial services sector is mandatory.
• Advanced proficiency in English is required; Arabic language skills are preferred.

Technical Expertise

• Comprehensive understanding of the bank’s strategy, objectives, products, and services.
• Familiarity with analytical application development to support business decision-making.
• Knowledge of data management architecture and operations within banks and financial institutions.
• Expertise in information management technologies and practices.
• Understanding of EDW and data mart principles, structures, and database architectures used in banking applications.
