About the Role
The HR Services unit is seeking a dedicated Senior Payroll and Reporting Officer to manage and support the organization's HR Management System. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of employee information, remuneration, and benefits aligned with relevant policies and internal standards. The officer acts as the key expert in core HR systems and data management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct audits of employee files to verify vacation tickets, special allowances, cash housing, and other benefits.
- Ensure proper filing of payroll and all documents related to employee assignments, salaries, or benefits within personnel records.
- Monitor employee contract end dates and terminate records for departing staff.
- Maintain and update employee data in Oracle system, including for new hires, transfers, and promotions.
- Collaborate with the Senior Payroll and Reporting Specialist to create and manage position lines within Oracle.
- Ensure precise and prompt updates of employee assignment details such as position, job info, probation end dates, Emirates ID, and contact information.
- Manage and keep current the employee reporting hierarchy in Oracle.
- Coordinate with IT to provide updated employee details for Outlook e-signature blocks.
- Generate position reports, employee lists, and other Fusion system reports when needed.
- Stay informed on payroll, benefits, and Employee Self Service systems to support administrative functions.
- Perform audit checks on payroll records prior to final processing.
- Process employee requests for cash in lieu of vacation tickets, verifying benefit eligibility.
- Handle reimbursements and recoveries related to EID and Visa fees.
- Manage cheque payments for international new hires and update banking details for employees.
- Administer cash housing updates along with other allowances and recoveries.
- Support payroll processing in partnership with the Senior Payroll and Reporting Specialist.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Human Resources Management from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience or an equivalent blend of education and practical experience.
- Strong expertise in data management and advanced proficiency with Excel.
- Ability to accurately document and improve process workflows.
- In-depth knowledge of human resource information systems.
- Capability to operate efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while adapting to tight timelines.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
