Senior Orthopaedic Outpatient Physiotherapist

Overview

This permanent, full-time position (35 hours per week) is focused on supporting the extension of Elective Orthopaedic Physiotherapy services, including weekend coverage for day surgery hip and knee arthroplasty patients, ensuring no disruption to the current Physiotherapy services.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered physiotherapy care in inpatient or outpatient settings, particularly on days when regular physiotherapists are rostered off after weekend elective orthopaedic service coverage or as per service requirements.
• Coordinate effective communication and provide thorough handovers to physiotherapists covering the respective areas.
• Participate actively in the Saturday and Sunday Elective Orthopaedic physiotherapy roster.
• Undertake necessary training to attain and sustain competence in inpatient elective orthopaedics during periods without inpatient or outpatient duties.
• Maintain ongoing competency in inpatient elective orthopaedic physiotherapy and engage in continual professional development.
• Contribute to the Respiratory On Call rota, acquiring and maintaining competency through training when not engaged in inpatient or outpatient coverage.
• Commit to continuous professional development in Respiratory On Call physiotherapy.
