Overview
This role is with a partner company based in the United States focusing on a senior-level strategist who will guide organizational design and change management efforts within a major federal modernization program. The strategist will analyze structural, operational, and cultural aspects to enable successful adoption of new systems and procedures in a complex environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive organizational assessments to uncover barriers to system and process adoption.
- Lead interactive sessions such as workshops and focus groups to identify root causes and gather diverse stakeholder insights.
- Create and manage metrics frameworks to track organizational health, readiness, and effectiveness of change initiatives.
- Translate diagnostic findings into strategic, actionable recommendations for leadership teams.
- Collaborate with cross-sector stakeholders to define clear role responsibilities, governance, decision rights, and accountability structures.
- Design scalable and sustainable organizational structures and frameworks to support ongoing transformation.
- Communicate insights and strategy to senior leaders in a clear, constructive manner focused on solutions.
- Work in conjunction with change management, behavioral science, and human factors experts to deliver integrated transformation plans.
- Develop reusable tools and methodologies for conducting organizational assessments and planning change activities.
- Continuously monitor risks, stakeholder alignment, and adoption indicators to adjust change strategies proactively.
- Employ strong facilitation, listening, and relationship-building skills to navigate complex organizational dynamics.
- Manage conflicting priorities and perspectives with tact and maintain trusted partnerships.
- Adapt strategies responsively to evolving program demands and stakeholder needs.
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory with eligibility for Public Trust Clearance and FAA Suitability determination.
- Master's degree in Organizational Development, Public Administration, Business Administration, Aviation Management, Political Economy, or comparable field with over 10 years of experience; or a bachelor's degree with 12+ years relevant experience or equivalent specialized expertise.
- Extensive background in organizational design, development, change management, or institutional analysis within large-scale programs.
- Proven skill in evaluating organizational structures, governance models, and stakeholder relationships to pinpoint challenges.
- Experienced in building metrics frameworks and analytical models to assess organizational readiness and adoption progress.
- Strong facilitation expertise leading workshops that result in actionable outcomes.
- Ability to simplify complex organizational concepts into clear recommendations for senior audiences.
- High emotional intelligence with influence skills without direct authority.
- Preferred experience in aviation, federal government, infrastructure modernization, or geographically dispersed environments.
- Knowledge of FAA operations, flight services, aviation systems, or Alaska-specific aviation settings is advantageous.
- Familiarity with change management approaches such as Prosci/ADKAR is desired.
- Understanding of governance and operating models, political economy, and institutional analysis is a plus.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management abilities.
