Job description
About Gravitiq
Gravitiq is a private equity-backed group focused on building and growing health and beauty brands into leading omnichannel category players. Their portfolio includes cosmetics, supplements, medical devices, and wellness products sold globally via Amazon, retail, and direct-to-consumer channels. The company is now entering a growth phase that emphasizes developing robust operational infrastructure for enhanced predictability, control, and resilience. This role is pivotal in driving that transformation.
Role Overview
The Senior Operations Director will be responsible for strengthening and leading Gravitiq's operational framework. This includes ownership of key functions such as Supply Chain, Product Development & Regulatory affairs, and Customer Support, integrating them into a unified, efficient system. Reporting directly to the founders, the individual will transform growth objectives into actionable operational plans by building necessary structure, processes, and capabilities to support a multi-channel international business. Close collaboration with Commercial, Brand, and Finance teams will be necessary to ensure realistic, aligned, and executable plans while enhancing forecasting and prioritization methods.
This position requires hands-on leadership, balancing strategic direction with detailed operational oversight to identify challenges early, question assumptions, and maintain consistent delivery. Ideal candidates thrive in dynamic environments and have demonstrable experience establishing operational foundations during periods of scaling, rather than merely maintaining established systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Create scalable processes by implementing practical planning frameworks, execution rhythms, and performance metrics aimed at consistent delivery and reduced emergencies.
- Enhance cross-functional collaboration between Commercial, Brand, and Operations teams (in conjunction with the Chief of Staff) to ensure realistic and aligned plans with consistent target achievement.
- Collaborate with Technology and Transformation teams to encourage AI and automation integration within operational areas.
- Manage the complete supply chain including sourcing, manufacturing, planning, logistics, and inventory performance.
- Develop effective demand and supply planning frameworks to improve forecast accuracy and product availability.
- Optimize inventory management, working capital, and service levels to balance availability with margin control.
- Direct supplier strategy and performance to achieve reliability and cost efficiency.
- Enhance resilience by implementing risk management and contingency plans.
- Prepare operations for expansion into US retail and international markets.
- Oversee end-to-end product development and packaging processes.
- Improve delivery reliability, timelines, and predictability within new product development and packaging.
- Integrate margin and cost discipline into product development decisions.
- Align strategies across Brand, Commercial, Creative, and Supply Chain to ensure efficient delivery.
- Build scalable regulatory and compliance frameworks to cover various categories and international markets.
- Lead omnichannel customer support with strict service level agreements ensuring rapid issue resolution across Amazon, DTC, TikTok Shop, and Retail platforms.
- Advocate for customer feedback to drive continuous improvements across Brand, Product, and Supply Chain functions.
- Promote a technology and AI-forward approach by partnering with relevant teams to improve systems, data quality, automation, and operational efficiency especially in forecasting and customer support.
Candidate Requirements
- Extensive senior leadership experience in operations within a fast-growing consumer goods company.
- Demonstrated expertise managing multiple operational functions such as supply chain, product, operations, and customer service.
- Proven history of establishing operational foundations in scaling businesses rather than maintaining steady-state operations.
- Strong financial acumen, including knowledge of margins, cost of goods sold, and working capital management.
- Experience in retail environments with particular exposure to the US market.
- Ability to work effectively in founder-led, fast-paced organizations.
- Willingness to be hands-on at times while maintaining a strategic viewpoint.
