Role Overview
The Senior Officer in the Supply Chain Logistics Group will oversee comprehensive logistics operations, ensuring strict adherence to international trade laws and customs regulations. This position requires managing shipment execution, documentation, coordination with internal and external partners, and resolving any logistical challenges to guarantee timely delivery across multiple regional markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full cycle of import and export operations, guaranteeing compliance with international trade rules and local customs policies.
- Manage shipment processes from order placement to delivery, maintaining service standards and timely execution.
- Prepare, review, and oversee shipping documentation following UCP 600 guidelines, Incoterms, and relevant customs norms.
- Manage Letter of Credit (LC) documentation to meet banking and contractual criteria.
- Coordinate document legalization and authentication with authorities such as Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and embassies.
- Communicate with shipping companies, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics
- Monitor shipments actively, address and resolve any logistical issues, minimizing delays through effective problem-solving and coordination.
- Maintain precise logistics records and update ERP systems while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in supply chain and logistics operations.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related discipline.
- Have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in import/export operations or international trade logistics.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of shipping documentation, customs procedures, UCP 600 rules, and Incoterms.
- Experienced with handling Letter of Credit processes and document legalization requirements.
- Familiarity with logistics operations in the Middle East and Africa would be advantageous.
- Previous exposure to the automotive sector is preferred.
- Proficient with SAP (preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Exhibit excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Possess sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under pressure.
