Role overview

The Senior Officer, Employee Relations & Compensation & Benefits will help deliver employee relations services, compensation frameworks, and benefits administration in an efficient and compliant way. This position supports the enforcement of HR policies, promotes strong employee engagement, and contributes to a positive workplace culture that reflects AMF’s values and HR direction.

Key responsibilities

  • Respond to employee questions, concerns, and workplace matters in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in handling employee disputes in accordance with HR procedures and labor requirements.
  • Prepare, update, and safeguard employee files, disciplinary records, and case-related documents.
  • Support employee engagement programs and internal communication efforts.
  • Help administer payroll inputs, including allowances, overtime, and deductions.
  • Process employee benefits such as insurance, leave balances, and related compensation items.
  • Keep employee information current to support correct payroll processing and benefits eligibility.
  • Contribute to salary reviews, market benchmarking, and annual compensation cycles.
  • Apply HR policies and procedures consistently and equitably across the organization.
  • Assist in revising HR policies to align with local labor legislation and organizational needs.
  • Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and analytics for employee relations and compensation and benefits activities.
  • Protect the confidentiality and integrity of employee data at all times.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities, including paperwork, orientation, and system updates.
  • Support exit procedures such as final settlement processing, clearance documentation, and exit interviews.
  • Help ensure smooth transitions for both new hires and exiting employees.
  • Work with insurance providers, government bodies, and internal teams as needed.
  • Coordinate with payroll, finance, and legal functions to ensure HR transactions are processed accurately.
  • Provide effective HR assistance to employees and managers with a strong focus on service quality.

Experience and background

The role requires at least 6 years of experience in employee relations, HR operations, or compensation and benefits. A solid understanding of labor legislation, HR policy application, and best practices in employee relations and compensation and benefits is essential. Prior exposure to payroll coordination, HRIS platforms, and benefits administration is also needed.

Education and certification

A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. HR certifications such as CIPD, SHRM, or PHR are preferred.
