Job description

About the business

Brownes Dairy is a long-established and forward-thinking dairy company with more than 140 years of history. Known for combining heritage with innovation, the business is now entering its next stage of growth and is seeking a Senior National Business Manager to help lead that journey across brands including Hunt and Brew, Füll+, ProGo, Brownes Chill and Yogo.

Role overview

This is a high-impact national account role where you will act as a brand custodian and a key commercial partner to major retail customers. The position is flexible in terms of base location, with Balcatta preferred. Candidates already based in Melbourne or Sydney may also be considered. If you are Perth-based, the role is not fully remote. The position is permanent and full-time.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead national customer relationships and represent the business across Australia.
  • Develop and implement joint business plans and annual customer strategies.
  • Use category and market insights to identify growth opportunities and support category expansion.
  • Manage commercial performance, including revenue, market share and margin delivery.
  • Work with internal teams on forecasting and demand planning so customer commitments can be met reliably and on time.

Requirements

  • Background in senior relationship management with a national remit, preferably in FMCG.
  • Experience managing tender submissions and range review processes.
  • Strong commercial judgement and confident negotiation skills.
  • Ability to influence across functions and create effective partnerships with customers and internal stakeholders.

What’s offered

  • Permanent full-time employment.
  • Five weeks of annual leave.
  • Base location support in Balcatta with either a vehicle allowance or a tool-of-trade car.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • Employee rewards program.
  • Health and wellbeing benefits and discounts, including private health, hotels, gyms, on-site flu vaccinations and skin checks.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • End-of-trip facilities for those based in Balcatta.
  • Subsidised coffee from the on-site barista for Balcatta-based staff.

How to apply

Applicants are asked to submit a CV and a cover letter outlining their relevant experience and capabilities. The employer states that every candidate will receive a response. Applications close on 12 July 2026.

Equal opportunity

The company welcomes applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, women, LGBTI+ candidates, mature workers, people with disabilities, and individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds.
