Role Overview
This position owns media planning for a portion of the ZURU Toys brand portfolio, with a focus on improving innovation, planning quality, and performance outcomes. The role supports digital activity across platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, Meta, and other channels, while also looking for opportunities in areas like The Trade Desk, Snapchat, retail media, and additional digital environments.
A key part of the job is building better planning processes and audience frameworks, and helping connect creative content, media, data, and business goals. You will work closely with media buying, analytics, and brand marketing teams to make sure campaigns are aligned and deliver measurable results.

Responsibilities
- Own media planning for selected brands within the ZURU Toys portfolio, adapting focus as business priorities change.
- Create planning strategies that are grounded in insights, effective in market, and aligned with each brand’s goals.
- Build a strong understanding of the brands and their customers to support execution across multiple markets.
- Coordinate with media buying, data, global, and local teams to keep campaigns aligned and execution consistent.
- Use a test-and-learn approach to explore new platform opportunities, audience structures, and content methods that improve media performance.
- Partner with technology vendors to uncover new capabilities and strengthen planning and measurement practices.
- Contribute to the development of global reporting processes and reporting frequency.
- Work with key stakeholders to generate and share insights that improve media and strategy across the wider business.
- Help create a unified media and marketing workflow that supports stronger collaboration across local and international teams.
- Use external partners to broaden knowledge and support capability building across wider marketing teams.
Requirements
- Strong interest in strategy and planning for engaging, playful brands.
- At least 3 years of experience in digital marketing or media planning.
- Hands-on experience with Google, TikTok, and Meta advertising products.
- Willingness to listen, learn, and adjust approach to keep improving results.
- Confidence to share views constructively and professionally.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, take initiative, stay organised, prioritise well, and manage time effectively.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with a strong bias toward action.
- Sense of accountability for team output and personal growth.
- Preference for an office-based environment in Auckland, New Zealand.
