Job description
Role overview
The Syariah Court (SYC) serves as an important institution for Singapore’s Muslim community, with the goal of being a dependable, responsive, and fair court that builds public trust and supports the community well. The Registry of Muslim Marriages (ROMM) is focused on being a high-standard marriage institution that contributes to strong and stable families.
This position is for a leader who can supervise and run a centralised Quality Service Unit supporting the Registry of Muslim Marriages (ROMM) and the Syariah Court (SYC).
What you will do
You will manage a team of officers handling day-to-day operations for one or both institutions, ensuring service is delivered smoothly and client queries are addressed across channels such as phone and email. You will also drive service improvement initiatives, act as a change agent to strengthen client satisfaction, and support positive experiences for clients and partners.
In addition, you will lead communications and stakeholder engagement for ROMM and/or SYC, and work with both government and non-government partners to improve public understanding and awareness of the institutions and the services they provide.
Requirements
Applicants should have at least 3 years of relevant experience in supervisory work, administration, management, and finance.
You should be familiar with service delivery, including customer experience and service design, customer service and case management, service quality and standards, and service data management and analytics.
For public communications, you should be able to support outreach and engagement programmes, prepare crisis communications plans, and manage media relations effectively.
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in Muslim social, legal, and family matters, along with strong analytical ability, leadership, and management skills. You should be able to work independently and demonstrate sound social and cultural awareness.
Additional information
This role involves overseeing a centralised quality service function for ROMM and SYC and partnering with different stakeholders to support service delivery and public communication efforts.
