Job description

Role overview

This is a senior leadership role focused on strategic procurement, supplier governance, and high-technology program support in a complex, mission-critical setting. The position centers on sourcing for advanced technology categories, especially Cloud, SaaS, and IT suppliers, while strengthening long-term vendor relationships, controlling cost, and improving supply continuity across several business areas. You will also lead a team of sourcing professionals and work closely with program management, finance, engineering, and operations teams. The environment is fast-moving, highly regulated, and innovation-oriented, so the role calls for strong analysis, disciplined delivery, and comfort with both strategy and negotiation.

What you'll do

  • Manage, coach, and build capability within a team of sourcing and contract specialists, driving accountability and strong delivery on strategic sourcing work.
  • Create and execute sourcing strategies for complex, high-value agreements across Cloud, SaaS, and IT suppliers.
  • Run supplier negotiations to reduce cost, lower risk, and strengthen supplier performance and delivery.
  • Assess and oversee supplier relationships, including market research and competitive sourcing exercises.
  • Maintain compliance with FAR/DFARS and internal procurement requirements, with a strong focus on governance and ethical sourcing.
  • Work with stakeholders in supply chain, program management, engineering, finance, and operations to keep sourcing aligned with business goals.
  • Contribute sourcing expertise, risk analysis, and supplier recommendations to proposal development and program execution.
  • Improve sourcing processes and introduce innovation, including digital tools and AI-enabled methods to increase speed and decision quality.
  • Build standardized frameworks, templates, and best practices to make sourcing work more consistent and scalable.
  • Present sourcing results, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership using clear, data-backed insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
  • Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience leading sourcing or procurement teams.
  • Proven success negotiating complex supplier agreements, especially in Cloud, SaaS, or IT services.
  • Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and federal acquisition rules; background in defense or aerospace is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced strategic thinking and analytical ability for managing complex sourcing portfolios.
  • Excellent organization and program management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities at once.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience working with senior stakeholders.
  • Understanding of ITAR/EAR compliance is a plus.
  • Experience using AI or digital procurement tools is preferred.
  • Professional credentials such as CPSM, CSCP, or PMP are advantageous.

Benefits

  • Annual pay range of $183,371 to $198,414.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Retirement savings plan with employer contributions.
  • Flexible work setup with remote and hybrid options.
  • Paid time off and company holidays.
  • Strong emphasis on professional development and leadership advancement.
  • Exposure to advanced technology programs in aerospace, defense, and other mission-critical environments.
  • Collaborative, mission-driven culture with a strong focus on innovation and integrity.
