Role Overview
Join the Office of Digital Empowerment at SingHealth and contribute significantly to advancing digital innovation across the cluster. This role involves guiding innovative healthcare ideas from conception through to actual deployment, working closely with innovators, project groups, governance committees, and departments to align initiatives with SingHealth's digital priorities and strategic objectives.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead or co-lead digital innovation projects, defining challenges, identifying user requirements, setting success criteria, and proposing suitable digital solutions.
- Discover and document digital innovation opportunities through organized intake and governance processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Assess strategic fit, potential impact, and feasibility of innovations by applying structured evaluation frameworks and preparing detailed reports with evidence-backed recommendations for senior leadership and governance bodies.
- Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders—including clinical, operations, IT, vendors, and senior management—to facilitate workshops, clarify needs, manage trade-offs, and foster shared ownership of initiatives.
- Guide project teams on innovation procedures, highlighting governance and implementation elements early to expedite progress.
- Establish and monitor metrics for value realization, adoption progress, benefits, and lessons learned; provide advice on subsequent actions based on these insights to enhance SingHealth's innovation capabilities.
- Support change management efforts by crafting adoption strategies, engaging leaders and users to overcome barriers, activating change advocates, and using communication channels to maintain awareness and promote sustained use.
Qualification Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 8 years of pertinent experience in digital transformation, innovation leadership, project management, or consultancy, particularly in healthcare or equivalently complex sectors.
- Possession of certifications such as Design Thinking, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Product Management, or Prosci Change Management is advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills, capable of securing consensus and buy-in across diverse technical and non-technical groups including vendors and partners.
- Familiarity with digital health technologies, automation, low-code/no-code platforms, Generative AI, AI-enabled tools, and emerging healthcare tech; strong grasp of healthcare processes, operational challenges, and governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated expertise in design thinking, problem-solving, systems thinking, and high-quality communication skills tailored for senior and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, navigate ambiguous contexts, and offer pragmatic solutions within time and resource limits.
- A flexible, proactive, and resourceful professional comfortable shifting focus among strategy formulation, facilitation, coordination, and execution as project demands evolve.
