About Valorant
Valorant is a specialized procurement consulting and AI technology company integrating profound expertise in sourcing and procurement with Astra, its proprietary AI-native procurement platform. Collaborating with CPOs, CFOs, and CIOs from various sectors, Valorant drives procurement transformation, cost efficiency, and measurable process improvements. The team uniquely blends strategic consulting aptitude with product development capabilities, encouraging members to contribute on both fronts.
Role Overview
As a Senior Manager, you will oversee complete client engagements spanning deal formation, execution, stabilization, and growth of accounts. Your procurement domain knowledge enables you to engage confidently with CPO-level peers, manage complex delivery programs, and influence Astra product strategy using practical insights gained from building digital procurement solutions. This role requires decisive leadership, proactive problem solving amid ambiguity, and ownership across consulting, product participation, and business advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape Astra platform strategy by providing procurement insights that influence structural platform architecture beyond feature development.
- Lead Astra’s market efforts including product demonstrations, industry speaking engagements, and credibility building with prospects.
- Identify and prototype innovative AI-driven solutions using no-code platforms based on client insights and market trends.
- Direct all phases of client implementations, including project scoping, team staffing, governance, escalation handling, and post-launch support.
- Enhance Valorant’s implementation frameworks and delivery methodologies continuously.
- Lead multi-workstream procurement transformation initiatives encompassing operating model redesign, policy updates, process reengineering, technology deployment, and change management.
- Develop and implement frameworks ensuring sustained transformation benefits, including executive alignment and performance measurements.
- Manage engagement financials, including margin delivery, scope management, resource allocation, and contract negotiations related to change orders and expansions.
- Act as a procurement subject matter expert providing category strategy leadership, operating model counsel, and executive guidance at senior organizational levels across sectors.
- Generate intellectual property contributions like methodologies, white papers, case studies, and industry perspectives.
- Coach and mentor consulting teams on procurement knowledge and deliverable quality.
- Lead pipeline generation efforts, proposal development, discovery workshops, and support successful deal completion.
- Drive existing client account growth by identifying and cultivating additional opportunities and engagement expansion.
- Support Astra’s commercial positioning through development of sales materials, ROI frameworks, and competitive analysis.
- Develop and lead teams of managers and senior consultants by setting clear expectations, providing coaching, and fostering careers.
- Contribute to consulting practice excellence including quality control, training, and knowledge management.
- Demonstrate high agency by making independent decisions, setting strategic directions under uncertainty, and ensuring delivery outcomes.
Requirements
- 7 to 10 years of experience in procurement consulting, successfully managing end-to-end client engagements and delivery teams.
- Comprehensive procurement expertise with ability to provide strategic advice on sourcing strategy, category management, S2C/P2P processes, and transformations at executive levels.
- Hands-on experience developing or co-developing digital procurement tools, automation workflows, or technology-enabled procurement solutions, beyond just vendor tool implementation.
- Proven capability to rapidly prototype and refine solutions using AI technologies and no-code development platforms.
- Strong commercial skills including proposal design and managing financial aspects of client engagements.
- Exceptional leadership abilities accompanied by proven experience in building and nurturing high-performing consulting teams.
- Excellent communication skills capable of advising and presenting to C-suite executives.
- High initiative and judgment to operate effectively with minimal supervision in ambiguous environments.
- Familiarity with procurement technology platforms such as Coupa, Jaggaer, SAP Ariba, Ivalua, or equivalents, within advisory or implementation roles.
- Flexibility to accommodate global time zone coordination and client travel requirements when necessary.
