Overview
The Global Category Analyst role offers critical analytical, operational, and administrative aid to the Senior Manager for Global Category, ensuring seamless implementation of category strategies on a global scale. This position focuses on supporting, coordinating, and driving global category projects through comprehensive preparation, integration of insights, and management of resources like playbooks and forums, guaranteeing systematic progress across workstreams.
Responsibilities
- Collect and combine insights from diverse internal and external sources including market data, shopper trends, and maintain an organized insights repository.
- Create summarized, succinct outputs that contribute to strategic thought leadership materials.
- Partner with the Global Category Council (GCC) to document and systematize category services.
- Coordinate global category community forums by preparing agendas, materials, capturing notes, and tracking follow-up actions.
- Manage shared resources such as repositories, distribution lists, and collaboration platforms for global category teams.
- Support development and coordination of category training materials and sessions, monitor participation, and gather feedback for improvement.
- Contribute to building and updating the Global Category Leadership Playbook.
- Oversee category asset management and maintain shared repositories on ASK ADA platform.
- Maintain communication channels including distribution lists, calendars, and status reports related to the global category agenda.
- Attend to miscellaneous requests to provide additional support as required.
Working Hours
1pm to 10pm Indian Standard Time (IST).
Qualifications
- Ability to translate complex, multi-source data into clear, actionable insights, and craft compelling strategic narratives with structured thinking.
- Experience with frameworks, playbooks, and operating models to promote uniformity and scalability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Capacity to independently manage and coordinate multiple concurrent projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for creating executive-level outputs.
- A collaborative, proactive work approach comfortable with ambiguity, detail-focused with a robust sense of responsibility.
- 6 to 8 years of relevant expertise in analytics, category management, commercial strategy, or consulting with progressive leadership roles.
- Experience working within global matrix organizations, effectively coordinating cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced qualifications highly preferred.
