What you will do

  • Lead a procurement team responsible for supporting data center build activities, including hardware and services.
  • Expand automation across the procurement lifecycle by strengthening existing workflows and finding new ways to improve efficiency in internal processes and supplier interactions.
  • Enhance reporting for procurement operations, including tracking order progress by project, equipment lead times, contract progress for SOW, PSA, and MSA documents, and data center capacity lease activity.
  • Use strong analytical methods to spot trends, build models, interpret results, and present practical recommendations.
  • Identify operational exceptions and negative outcomes through data analysis, then develop mitigation strategies.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships across a highly matrixed organization, working closely with Finance, Procurement, Engineering, Vendors, Legal, Business Analysts, Business Owners, and Service Owners.

What the role requires

  • Proven ability to lead people and improve processes in large matrixed organizations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to developing and mentoring teams.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with global partners and supporting scaled infrastructure systems.
  • Strong understanding of planning, forecasting, governance, enterprise financial processes, procurement workflows, and inventory management.
  • Ability to solve complex problems strategically while also acting with a hands-on, tactical approach.
  • Comfort balancing detail orientation with a broad business perspective.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • At least 12 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience leading a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
