Job Summary
The Senior Logistics Project Manager (LPM) leads all logistical operations related to the SEC 2 Bulk Program, covering activities such as inbound, outbound, vehicle-to-vehicle transfers, repairs, and warranty management. The role demands managing complex projects under DDP Incoterms, ensuring adherence to contract and business requirements from supply chain through to delivery location. The LPM also monitors and reports operational and financial KPIs including deflation, estimated at completion (EAC), cost per kilogram, demurrages, and premium charges, while handling all logistics interactions with customers and EPC contractors including claims and insurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main liaison between customers, freight forwarders, and internal GEV teams to devise and oversee logistics plans within the SEC 2 Bulk Program, actively partaking in all pertinent meetings.
- Develop consolidation strategies, implement traceability plans, and administer shipping operations.
- Act as the operational interface among customers, internal and project managers, and global logistic coordinators.
- Collaborate with SEC 2 Logistics in France to monitor and steer project milestones, scopes, timelines, expenses, and risks.
- Identify, document, and monitor risks and opportunities, providing routine updates to Project Managers.
- Ensure import documentation accuracy and compliance with customs regulations, working closely with customs specialists.
- Coordinate with customs and stakeholders to guarantee timely clearance and delivery, minimizing costs such as penalties, storage, and demurrages.
- Adhere to established GEV logistics best practices within Saudi Arabia.
- Function as the singular point of contact for logistics solutions both internally and externally.
- Manage logistics documentation and local operational performance across 14 projects in Saudi Arabia.
- Provide and maintain the Master Packing List for customers.
- Continuously update logistics tools utilized by Power Conversion.
- Address logistics defects, overseeing root cause analyses and non-conformance reports.
- Coordinate with Sourcing and Supply Chain teams to fulfill delivery and shipment release requirements.
- Implement corrective and containment strategies to prevent recurring issues.
- Engage with finance divisions to expedite customs duty processing.
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with GEV and national regulatory standards.
- Pursue cost avoidance strategies throughout logistics execution.
- Commit to GEV EHS life-saving rules and promote a STOP WORK safety culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, business administration, or related discipline.
- At least 7 years experience in logistics, specifically within energy sector projects in Saudi Arabia.
- Proven experience collaborating with customs teams and brokers.
- Familiarity with SEC/EPC energy project environments.
- Strong ability to manage multiple global stakeholders and freight forwarders.
- In-depth understanding of International Chamber of Commerce terms and conditions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of export regulations, terms, and procedures.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English languages.
Eligibility
