Senior Linux Administrator

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Linux Administrator to join our team in Riyadh. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing Linux servers and systems across both production and development settings, ensuring optimal performance and system security.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, set up, and administer Linux servers in various environments.
• Continuously monitor infrastructure health to guarantee system availability and reliability.
• Conduct system updates, apply patches, and enforce security protocols.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving systems, networks, and applications.
• Manage user authorizations, permissions, and enforce security policies within systems.
• Develop automation scripts for routine tasks using tools like Bash and Python.
• Work collaboratively with DevOps, networking, and security teams to enhance infrastructure efficiency.
• Design and execute backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity measures.
• Maintain detailed system documentation, operational procedures, and configuration records.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 5 to 8 years of demonstrated experience in Linux system administration.
• Extensive expertise with prominent Linux distributions such as Red Hat, CentOS, and Ubuntu.
• Advanced skills in shell scripting and automation frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewall configurations.
• Experience with virtualization platforms like VMware and KVM.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is advantageous.
• Preferred experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaborative teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications including RHCSA, RHCE, or equivalent credentials.
• Background working in high-availability and critical mission environments.
