Role Overview
This position is for an experienced land surveyor to support field measurement, control establishment, verification, and survey documentation for construction works in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out land and field surveys, including geodetic computations.
- Establish and verify horizontal and vertical control points to strict accuracy standards.
- Check setting-out work, levels, and the location of services, ensuring existing services are protected.
- Prepare field sketches and keep survey records, including field books, calculations, and related documentation.
- Support the engineer in reviewing and validating shop drawings.
- Perform routine checks on control points and benchmarks.
- Record initial and final levels for works as required.
- Verify earthwork cross-sections.
- Assist with preparation of as-built drawings and review as-built record drawings.
- Use modern survey equipment such as GPS, total stations, and digital levels.
- Work with software tools including AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
- Conduct International Roughness Index (IRI) surveying / IRI testing as needed.
