Senior IT Business Analyst

Overview

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior IT Business Analyst to contribute to the replacement of a major enterprise technology system. This role demands a collaborative expert able to partner with project managers, business leaders, and technical teams to collect requirements, document business workflows, and ensure the success of the project.

Core Responsibilities

• Collect, examine, and document both business and functional requirements.
• Lead workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather input.
• Study existing business procedures and design future process models.
• Develop detailed business process flows, workflow diagrams, and functional specifications.
• Convert business needs into comprehensive user stories.
• Work alongside project managers, developers, QA teams, and business representatives.
• Spot opportunities to enhance processes and suggest effective solutions.
• Assist in system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and deployment phases.
• Verify that delivered solutions meet original business requirements.
• Report project risks, issues, and progress updates to senior leadership.
• Support project planning, coordination, and execution activities.

Candidate Qualifications

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Hold a minimum of five years’ experience as a Business Analyst on enterprise IT ventures.
• Have at least five years’ expertise in requirements gathering, user story development, stakeholder engagement, business process analysis, and modeling.
• Familiarity with project management frameworks and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Proven ability leading workshops and driving business conversations.
• Experience with Hybrid Agile environments and SaaS applications including configuration and troubleshooting.
• Strong skills in communication, analysis, problem resolution, and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Background in healthcare sector roles.
• Experience supporting State Health Agencies, Public Health bodies, Healthcare Providers, or Payers.
• Involvement in enterprise system modernization or replacement initiatives.
• Understanding of healthcare enterprise software and operational workflows.
