Overview

In this role, you will join the Personal Banking Product team as a Senior Insights Specialist and play a key part in shaping strategic decisions.
You will turn data into practical recommendations, uncover customer and commercial opportunities, and work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver analytics that drives real business impact. The position suits someone who enjoys using evidence to solve complex problems and influence better decisions.
What you will do
- Lead analytics work that produces clear insights and recommendations aligned to business priorities.
- Convert complex information into insights that are useful, relevant, and commercially meaningful.
- Build, develop, and apply analytical models to answer business questions and identify opportunities.
- Work with stakeholders to guide decisions and improve customer and business outcomes.
- Promote analytical thinking and ongoing improvement across the organisation.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to strengthen capability within the wider analytics community.
- Collaborate with teams across the bank to solve difficult problems and create shared insights.
- Help shape technical standards, tools, policies, and best practices within the Analytics Practice.
What you will bring
- Deep experience in analytics, with strong hands-on ability in advanced SQL and/or SAS and at least 7 years in data analytics.
- Prior exposure to banking or financial services is strongly preferred.
- Solid experience using Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, including confidence handling complex datasets.
- Proven ability to produce insights that support decisions and improve outcomes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
- A mindset geared toward continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and helping others grow.
- Confidence to question existing approaches and spot opportunities for improvement.
