Senior Industrial Electrician

About the Role

You will report directly to the Contract Manager and actively participate in executing electrical project tasks with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, and superior quality. As a vital on-site contributor, you will lead by example while assisting with installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities related to industrial electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical work aligned with project specifications, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Conduct panel wiring, cable laying, and various electrical trade duties.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Detect and report any defects, hazards, or deviations from standards.
• Champion and uphold Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) principles.
• Support investigations of incidents and participate in continuous improvement efforts.

Candidate Profile

You are a dependable, safety-conscious electrician who thrives in vibrant project settings and values collaborative team success.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Possess NZQA Level 4 Electrical certification.
• Hold an active EWRB Registration as an Electrician.
• Demonstrated experience interpreting electrical drawings and executing panel wiring and installations.
• Strong dedication to maintaining health and safety standards.
• Capability to work effectively within multicultural teams.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with 3 Waters installations.
• Experience working within the Watercare network.
