Job overview
Trivers is looking for an accomplished Senior HR Specialist to support and lead core human resources activities within a construction setting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role suits someone who can work proactively across recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, workforce planning, compliance, and Saudization (Nitaqat) requirements. Experience in construction, contracting, or other project-driven environments is important for success in this position.
Key responsibilities
- Run the full hiring cycle for technical, engineering, project, and corporate roles.
- Build manpower plans aligned with project needs and departmental forecasts.
- Oversee Saudization (Nitaqat) compliance and related nationalization efforts.
- Manage joining formalities, internal transfers, promotions, and exit procedures.
- Keep employee files, contracts, and HR records accurate and up to date.
- Ensure HR practices remain compliant with Saudi labor regulations and internal policies.
- Work closely with project leaders and department managers on staffing and workforce planning.
- Address employee concerns, disciplinary matters, grievances, and workplace conflict.
- Track attendance, leave balances, and benefits-related administration.
- Coordinate with government systems and entities such as Qiwa, GOSI, Muqeem, Mudad, and the Ministry of Human Resources.
- Assist with performance management and employee development initiatives.
- Prepare HR dashboards, KPI summaries, and workforce analysis for leadership.
- Contribute to improvements in HR processes and broader organizational development activities.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
- Between 3 and 8 years of HR experience, ideally in construction, contracting, engineering, or industrial businesses.
- Solid hands-on exposure to recruitment, HR operations, employee relations, and Saudization management.
- Good understanding of Saudi labor law and HR-related government platforms.
- Experience managing large, varied workforces.
- Strong communication, planning, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional certifications such as CIPD, SHRM, or PHRi would be advantageous.
Preferred background
Applicants with experience in construction, contracting, facilities management, or project-based organizations will be especially well suited. Familiarity with staff mobilization and demobilization processes is also valuable. The role calls for someone who can stay effective in a busy environment and handle several priorities at once.
