Job description

Role overview

This is a senior, hands-on HR position supporting a fast-growing technology company in the AI infrastructure space. Based in Germany, the role sits at the core of people operations and combines day-to-day execution with process design. You will oversee the employee journey from onboarding through offboarding, keep compliance tight across jurisdictions, and help build scalable HR programs that improve employee experience and operational consistency.

The role is well suited to someone who is comfortable working through ambiguity, takes full ownership of outcomes, and can bring clarity to complex people matters. You will collaborate closely with leadership, Legal, Finance, and other People team members to keep HR operations running smoothly in a high-growth environment.

Key accountabilities

  • Manage HR operations across the complete employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, role updates, and leave administration within a PEO setup.
  • Keep compliance processes current and effective by handling registrations, policy revisions, mandatory training, and audit preparedness.
  • Administer benefits and serve as the main liaison for brokers and external HR/PEO partners.
  • Support total rewards work such as drafting offer letters, benchmarking compensation, and coordinating with Finance and Legal.
  • Address employee relations situations, including performance concerns, accommodations, conflict resolution, and separations, with care and sound judgment.
  • Work with legal counsel on sensitive issues while ensuring accurate documentation and appropriate risk controls.
  • Contribute to performance review cycles, manager support, and people initiatives such as engagement surveys and onboarding improvements.
  • Maintain accurate HR data and reliable reporting, including key HRIS metrics such as headcount and attrition.

Required experience and capabilities

This position calls for strong generalist or HR operations experience, ideally gained in a fast-moving startup or tech setting. You should understand employment law and HR compliance requirements, and bring a steady, professional approach to sensitive employee matters. Strong written communication, careful documentation habits, and the ability to collaborate across Legal, Finance, Operations, and leadership are all important. Because the work involves confidential information, discretion is essential.

Preferred qualifications

It is a plus if you have worked with HR automation tools such as Zapier or scripting, improved HRIS workflows, or used AI tools to streamline HR operations. Professional certifications like PHR or SHRM-CP are also considered advantageous.

Benefits and perks

  • Competitive compensation based on experience and market rates.
  • Equity opportunity in a venture-backed, high-growth company.
  • Broad healthcare coverage, including medical, dental, and vision.
  • Unlimited paid time off and flexible work arrangements.
  • Life and disability insurance.
  • 401(k) plan with employer match, where applicable.
  • Home office allowance and monthly internet reimbursement.
  • Flexible parental leave.
  • Regular offsites and team-building activities.
  • Access to modern tools and a strong learning-oriented culture.
