Senior HR Generalist

Overview

We seek a Senior HR Generalist to join our Global HR team in Singapore, supporting markets across JAPAC. Collaborating closely with the HR Business Partner for SAMEA & JAPAC, this role blends strategic leadership and hands-on execution to shape local people strategies and ensure a consistent employee experience throughout all phases of the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders and regional HRBPs to cultivate an inclusive, high-performance organizational culture.
• Align people activities with business priorities to optimize talent attraction, development, engagement, and retention.
• Coach and influence managers to enhance leadership capabilities and drive team performance.
• Analyze data to recognize trends, identify risks and opportunities, and propose pragmatic solutions, harmonizing global strategies with local market needs.
• Lead change management initiatives to support organizational transformations.
• Work with global and local HR teams to adapt and execute initiatives that enhance managerial skills, individual growth, and team efficiency in preparation for an AI-driven future.
• Manage the employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding, ensuring smooth processes and high-quality experiences.
• Assist with annual HR processes including talent reviews, performance calibration, compensation cycles, engagement efforts, and reorganizations in partnership with HRBPs.
• Address employee relations and policy issues with practical, hands-on support, escalating to Employment Legal when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws across key JAPAC countries while balancing global standards and local nuances.
• Continuously evaluate and refine local HR processes to improve scalability, efficiency, and employee experience.
• Handle all regional documentation and government paperwork in collaboration with the JAPAC HR team.

Candidate Profile

• A minimum of 7 years’ progressive experience in dynamic regional HR roles such as Senior HR Generalist, HR Lead, Employee Relations Manager, People Operations Lead, or HR Business Partner.
• Experience in global or matrixed organizations, ideally within media or technology sectors.
• Proven ability to partner with senior leadership and support executive initiatives.
• In-depth understanding of employment laws and practices across key JAPAC markets including Singapore, Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Korea, with eagerness to expand this knowledge.
• Comfortable operating amid change and ambiguity while maintaining team alignment and support.
• Culturally agile with experience working across multiple JAPAC countries.
• Capable of building trust swiftly, communicating effectively, and approaching challenges proactively.
• Adept at balancing global frameworks with local requirements, influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong prioritization skills, adaptability in fast-paced environments, and resourceful problem-solving abilities.
• Collaborative, inclusive mindset open to diverse perspectives.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Work Location & Flexibility

• Position based at Singapore office.
• Flexible work environment allowing a combination of remote work and in-person collaboration, requiring attendance at the office three times per week.
