Role Overview

As a Senior Growth Strategy & Operations Manager, you will work closely with the Growth team to define, refine, and optimize objectives related to user acquisition, conversion rates, and retention across multiple regions and channels. You will serve as a critical capital allocator, ensuring that resources such as time, budget, and effort are strategically deployed for maximum incremental impact. Collaborating closely with Growth leadership, your role involves interpreting complex data to make informed trade-off decisions, challenging assumptions, and advising where investments provide the best returns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Growth forecasting and planning cycle, consolidating assumptions and coordinating with Data teams to prepare leadership narratives.
  • Maintain and enhance business logic models, pacing strategies, scenario planning, and target-setting frameworks based on Airalo's forecasting model.
  • Organize and facilitate monthly and quarterly business reviews, synthesizing insights and ensuring follow-ups translate into actionable steps.
  • Manage weekly Growth operational cadences including performance review, KPI monitoring, variance analysis, and escalation of strategic issues.
  • Develop data-driven budget allocation strategies across regions and channels, leveraging metrics such as CAC, pLTV, incrementality, and ROI to maximize profitability and growth.
  • Conduct in-depth regional evaluations at country, segment, and channel levels to identify growth and efficiency levers.
  • Spot and quantify cross-regional capital reallocation opportunities by comparing marginal returns.
  • Partner across Growth, Product, Brand, and Finance teams to align goals, trade-offs, and understand variance drivers.
  • Act as primary Growth liaison with the Data team to consolidate analytics requirements, provide context, and ensure delivery of high-quality data products.
  • Translate data outputs—forecasts, dashboards, experiment results—into actionable strategies and processes for Growth teams.
  • Lead adoption of analytic tools, dashboards, and models within Growth teams including documentation, training, and workflow establishment.
  • Head cross-functional projects such as efficiency audits, regional diagnostics, or market deep-dives including focused rapid-response sprints to address discrete business challenges.
  • Design decision-making frameworks such as ROI models, scenario tools, prioritization matrices to support strategic choices.
  • Drive continuous process improvements within Growth to enhance clarity, speed, and execution quality.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 9 years of professional experience in Growth Strategy, Business Operations, Financial Planning & Analysis, Management Consulting, Strategy & Operations, or similar analytical disciplines.
  • Proven track record managing planning cycles and influencing capital allocation on a multi-market or global scale.
  • Hands-on expertise in maintaining forecasting models (Excel/Sheets), including scenario planning, customer acquisition cost (CAC) and lifetime value (LTV) analytics, pacing, and ROI calculation.
  • Strong analytical skills including advanced Excel, working knowledge of SQL, and familiarity with modern BI platforms such as Looker, Lightdash, or Tableau. Experience with Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) is advantageous.
  • Ability to convert data insights into strategic recommendations rather than simple reporting.
  • Competence in challenging assumptions, scrutinizing inputs, and managing incomplete or ambiguous data.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with channel leads, product managers, and data teams, with excellent communication skills at senior leadership level.
  • Capability to execute complex projects with tight deadlines, prioritize across diverse markets, and ensure alignment among multiple stakeholders.
  • Proactive and organized problem-solving skills to approach unclear challenges and deliver clear solutions with minimal oversight.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in consumer technology, marketplaces, travel industry, or subscription-based businesses.
  • Knowledge of marketing analytics methodologies including attribution modeling, CAC/LTV calculations, incrementality testing, and funnel analysis.
  • Experience managing experimentation roadmaps and interpreting lift test or causal inference results.
  • Previous involvement as a business partner to Data or Analytics teams.
