Role Overview

The Senior Government Affairs Specialist will lead relationship-building and policy coordination work in Saudi Arabia, supporting business growth through effective engagement with government bodies, regulatory monitoring, and cross-functional advisory support.

Government Relations Management

  • Build and sustain productive long-term relationships with key authorities, including the Ministry of Education (MOE), Ministry of Investment (MISA), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD).
  • Attend government meetings and industry forums on behalf of the company, presenting its priorities and explaining its commercial value clearly.
  • Keep internal stakeholders informed about policy developments and recommend messaging approaches or fallback plans for important issues.

Policy Analysis and Compliance

  • Monitor Saudi laws, regulations, and policy shifts affecting the business, especially in education, technology, foreign investment, and data protection.
  • Prepare policy analysis documents, explain how new rules may affect operations, and advise leadership on next steps.
  • Support compliance across business activities, marketing initiatives, and products to ensure alignment with Saudi legal and regulatory expectations.

Strategic Project Support

  • Help business teams create collaboration plans around government-led initiatives such as digital education and language training programs.
  • Offer guidance for tenders, licensing submissions, and qualification-related applications.

Internal Partnership and Training

  • Serve as an internal subject-matter expert on Saudi government affairs and provide advice and training to teams such as Marketing, Product, and Legal.
  • Coordinate company resources so that government inquiries and surveys are handled efficiently and accurately.

Candidate Profile

This role suits a professional with strong external affairs experience, solid knowledge of Saudi regulatory processes, and the confidence to work across cultures and functions while handling sensitive matters with discretion.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
