Job description
Company Overview
KLA is a worldwide technology leader serving the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem. Its solutions help make many of the electronic devices used every day, from laptops and smartphones to wearables, smart vehicles, VR devices, flexible screens, and voice-enabled gadgets. The company develops advanced systems for wafers, reticles, integrated circuits, packaging, printed circuit boards, and flat panel displays. Innovation is central to the business, with 15% of sales reinvested into research and development. Teams made up of physicists, engineers, data scientists, and other problem-solvers work with leading technology partners to help bring next-generation electronics to market.
About the HR Function
KLA’s global HR organization aims to be a strategic partner to business leadership, helping the company deliver on growth, customer, and operating goals through effective talent management. The function supports areas such as talent acquisition, assessment and development, performance management, inclusion and engagement, rewards, learning and development, compensation and benefits, employee communications, and HR systems operations.
Role Summary
As part of the Global Compensation & Benefits COE, this senior role is responsible for coordinating and overseeing international employee benefits programs across several regions. The position acts as the main connection point between global strategy, corporate and regional compensation and benefits teams, local HR teams, and external partners. The focus is on governance, planning, and coordination rather than local implementation.
The benefits programs under this role are expected to be strategically aligned, cost-conscious, compliant with local laws, reviewed through the annual strategic planning process, and delivered consistently across regions. This is initially an individual contributor position with enterprise-wide scope and no direct people management, though the function may expand to include a small analytics or program support team over time.
What You Will Do
- Embed KLA’s mission, vision, and values into day-to-day decisions, actions, and working practices.
- Oversee and coordinate employee benefits programs across multiple geographies in line with business strategy.
- Use available data and tools to review costs, trends, and potential risks, and work with analytics or finance colleagues when deeper modeling is needed.
- Work with the VP of Compensation & Benefits to define, maintain, and refine global benefits principles, standards, and decision guardrails.
- Run the global benefits planning cycle, track roadmap progress, manage renewals, and ensure significant benefit changes are evaluated and approved through the annual planning process.
- Prepare business cases, cost analysis, and leadership-ready presentation materials to support strategic decisions.
- Serve as the main operational contact for global benefits vendors, coordinating benchmarking, renewals, cost trend reviews, and compliance updates.
- Translate approved strategy into clear guidance, timelines, and action plans for regional HR and local teams.
- Support merger and acquisition work through due diligence, data review, and integration planning.
- Handle additional duties related to global benefits as needed.
Requirements
- Strong analytical ability with a proven record of influencing leadership, aligning stakeholders, and building effective business partnerships.
- Experience running global or multi-country benefits programs, preferably across Asia and Europe.
- Exposure to a global broker or consulting environment, such as Mercer, Aon, or Willis Towers Watson, or experience managing such partnerships internally.
- Background in a global technology company or another fast-growing multinational organization.
- Working knowledge of global benefits platforms, HRIS tools, or benefits reporting and analytics systems.
- Hands-on experience supporting strategic planning, renewals, or large-scale benefits change initiatives across multiple regions.
- Excellent skills in organization, presentations, and interpersonal communication.
- Comfort with ambiguity, ability to spot trends, and a practical approach to solving systemic problems.
- Strong command of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, plus advanced Excel capability.
- Master’s degree with at least 6 years of related experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of related experience.
Additional Information
