Overview
Toyota Canada Inc. is seeking a highly collaborative and energetic Senior Financial Analyst specializing in vehicle profitability analysis, forecasting, planning, and consolidation within the Finance & Accounting team. This dynamic role demands ownership of vehicle division financials to support strategic business decisions and forecast changes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze profitability including volume, mix, and pricing aspects across vehicle divisions and share findings with senior finance leadership and business stakeholders.
- Deliver tailored financial decision support aligned with the company’s financial vision and proactively influence the business through value-add financial models.
- Serve as a key liaison with internal and external parties to ensure clear communication and consistency of financial reporting and messaging.
- Lead and mentor vehicle accounting analysts and other finance associates, encouraging Toyota's core values of communication, efficiency, teamwork, and customer focus.
- Manage vehicle division budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles, applying advanced scenario models to highlight risks and opportunities.
- Support consolidated financial planning activities, coordinating schedules, reports, and analysis to align with company expectations.
- Drive month-end reporting efforts, providing variance analysis, preparing management presentations, and supporting audit processes.
- Partner with extended teams including TMNA, TMC, and Mitsui as primary points of contact for financial collaboration.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives following Toyota's principles such as Kaizen and Genchi Genbutsu.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, or related fields.
- Completion of CPA designation or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Five to seven years of progressive experience in financial budgeting, planning, reporting, and analysis, with demonstrated ability to engage senior business leaders.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, ideally SAP, and financial reporting tools.
- Strong advanced Excel capabilities and expertise in financial modeling.
- Exceptional communication skills to present complex financial data clearly and effectively.
- Proven business acumen to interpret company financial performance within the context of industry trends.
- Demonstrated leadership skills including coaching, mentoring, and team development.
- Self-motivated, organized, analytical thinker with a customer-oriented mindset and enthusiasm for challenges.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual base salary anticipated between $89,100 and $117,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
