Role Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst in Corporate FP&A functions as a strategic finance partner, responsible for developing complex financial models, delivering insightful analysis, and influencing business decisions. This position integrates strong finance knowledge with advancing digital competencies, playing a pivotal role in organizational digital transformation efforts within finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and update sophisticated financial models to assist budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and business case evaluations for strategic decision support.
  • Generate comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses including variance assessments, trend evaluations, and KPI reporting.
  • Collaborate with business leaders throughout financial planning cycles, strategic initiatives, and long-term planning processes.
  • Track financial outcomes against targets; suggest and support corrective measures when necessary.
  • Work closely with Accounting, HR, and other departments to maintain data accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
  • Develop detailed monthly financial narratives, executive summaries, and insights for stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships across organizational levels, effectively communicating and demonstrating financial acumen to influence decisions.
  • Contribute to special projects such as mergers and acquisitions, operational improvements, and transformation initiatives.
  • Act as a financial liaison, translating business needs into analytical and financial insights.
  • Enhance the efficiency of financial reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics to facilitate improved data access and decision-making.
  • Support AI-driven finance initiatives by identifying automation and insight opportunities.
  • Undertake additional tasks and projects as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in corporate or multi-divisional FP&A roles.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel including financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with financial systems, ERP solutions, and business intelligence tools.

Preferred Attributes

  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certifications.
  • Experience in healthcare, multi-location operations, or service industries.
  • Proficiency with Hyperion (Oracle PBCS) or comparable enterprise planning software.
  • Proactive digital aptitude with self-taught technological skills.
