Senior Financial Accountant

Role overview

A global energy technology company is looking to add a Senior Financial Accountant to its collaborative finance function in Cork. The role sits within a well-established team and offers broad exposure across the business, working closely with the Finance Manager on reporting, analysis, compliance, and a variety of finance projects.

This position is suited to a recently qualified accountant who is ready to progress into a more hands-on role and build long-term experience across a multinational organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Handle full accounting activities for the assigned entities across the EMEA region.
• Prepare reporting for month-end and quarter-end close cycles.
• Support the statutory accounting process for the relevant entities.
• Carry out variance analysis and produce related reports.
• Work with internal and external auditors and provide accurate information and supporting data for audit requirements.
• Assist with corporate tax, VAT, and payroll-related tasks.
• Build effective working relationships with stakeholders across the wider business.
• Contribute to ad hoc finance projects as needed.

Candidate profile

• You should be a recently qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA membership and around 2+ years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience in a multinational setting is advantageous, though not essential.
• You need to be comfortable working with Excel and finance systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are important.
• You should be a collaborative team member who can engage confidently with people at all levels of the organisation.
