Role overview
Join a close-knit finance group in Wellington where this senior accounting position offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a meaningful contribution. The role sits within a small experienced team and provides support and mentoring as you take on work across technical accounting, treasury accounting, asset revaluations, statutory reporting, and reporting to the Crown.
You will partner with the Financial Accounting Manager and the wider business, helping strengthen risk management, compliance, and continuous process improvement. This is a good fit for someone who enjoys combining detailed financial reporting with practical commercial thinking.
The role is based in the office on Monday and Tuesday, with the remainder of the week flexible for working from home.
Key duties
Your work will include technical and statutory accounting responsibilities, along with broader support for finance operations and business improvement initiatives.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate is a technically capable accountant who values variety and wants to contribute in a collaborative team environment. You may currently be working as a financial accountant or corporate accountant and be ready for the next step. Training and development will be provided.
