Job description

About FINN

FINN is a financial technology company focused on building straightforward, transparent solutions that help underbanked employees improve their financial health. Its main product allows people to access wages they have already earned, while also offering tools for saving, insurance access, income generation, and fairer financial services.

Established in 2022, FINN is now the largest early wage access provider in Southeast Asia and is growing quickly into additional global markets. The company is seeking driven people who take ownership, work with urgency, and want to help shape products that make a real difference in everyday lives.

Role Overview

FINN is hiring a practical, detail-oriented Senior Finance Executive to support finance operations and the monthly accounting close across multiple group entities. This role will act as the main point of contact for closing activities, ensuring they are completed on time, accurately, and with proper documentation each month.

Because the business operates across several entities in Southeast Asia and other regions, strong experience with intercompany transactions is especially important. The position sits within a small, accountable team, so the work has direct influence on how the company runs and scales. It is well suited to someone who enjoys finance, technology, and taking ownership in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

Monthly close and reporting

  • Own the full monthly close cycle for assigned entities, making sure it is completed within group deadlines, with accurate and complete financial records and proper support for balance sheet items and key accounts.
  • Prepare and document intercompany reconciliations, and work with counterpart entities to quickly fix mismatches.
  • Spot and resolve accounting issues during the close process, escalating complex technical or judgment-related matters when needed.

Group reporting support

  • Assist in preparing monthly group management reports by ensuring entity-level information is accurate and aligned with group reporting standards.
  • Help with consolidation inputs when required; prior consolidation exposure will be considered an advantage.
  • Highlight material variances or important accounting matters promptly.

Audit, tax, and statutory coordination

  • Coordinate external audits for the assigned entities, including managing schedules, audit requests, and responses.
  • Work with tax agents and local advisors to ensure tax filings are completed accurately and on time.
  • Support the preparation and submission of statutory financial statements for the assigned entities.
  • Ensure local statutory reporting obligations are met and escalate complicated issues when necessary.

Process improvement and technology

  • Improve the monthly close process by strengthening documentation, timelines, and workflow consistency.
  • Look for opportunities to use AI tools and automation to make finance operations more accurate and efficient.
  • Support ERP implementation from a finance operations standpoint, including testing, data migration, and user adoption.

Strategic finance exposure

  • Take part in ad hoc finance work as business needs change, including financial analysis and onboarding new entities.
  • Gain exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and broader strategic finance initiatives by working closely with leadership.
  • Contribute beyond your core scope and bring a proactive, solution-focused approach.

Success Measures

First 6 months

  • Independently manage and complete the assigned entity’s monthly close on schedule.
  • Show accurate, well-supported intercompany entries and reconciliations.
  • Build strong working relationships within finance and across other teams.
  • Develop a solid understanding of FINN’s finance operations and reporting expectations.
  • Contribute actively to at least one finance process improvement effort.

First 12 months

  • Consistently deliver a clean close with financial statements that are ready for audit and have minimal material errors.
  • Play an important role in ERP implementation.
  • Lead or support statutory filing and audit coordination for assigned entities.
  • Identify and implement at least one AI- or automation-based improvement to the close process.
  • Show readiness to take on additional responsibilities or strategic finance work.

Requirements

  • At least 3 to 5+ years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, with hands-on responsibility for monthly close activities.
  • Experience working in a multi-entity or regional setup, including familiarity with intercompany transactions; knowledge of transfer pricing concepts is a plus.
  • Strong focus on accuracy and detail, with the ability to catch errors and inconsistencies.
  • Comfortable working independently, handling deadlines, and solving issues under pressure.
  • Good command of Google Sheets and the ability to adapt quickly to finance systems and tools.
  • Strong communication skills, high integrity, and a collaborative working style.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Competencies and Skills

  • Careful, high-quality execution with a strong eye for detail.
  • Ability to own the close process independently from start to finish.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools, business context, and better ways of working.
  • Comfort with finance systems, AI tools, and automation opportunities.
  • Clear, timely, and honest communication, especially when issues arise.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-changing environment without losing precision.
  • Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Join a fast-growing fintech that is making a meaningful difference in people’s financial lives.
  • Work on products with reach across Southeast Asia and the potential for broader global expansion.
  • Be part of a high-speed, innovation-driven environment where your ideas can create real impact.
