Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join Geely Auto Deutschland in Frankfurt, Germany. This key role involves shaping financial strategies, driving operational financial excellence, ensuring compliance, and supporting critical business decisions to propel company growth in the automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies that align with the company’s expansion goals.
- Lead annual budgeting cycles, rolling forecasts, and detailed financial analyses, tracking deviations from plans and making improvement proposals.
- Establish and maintain robust financial systems and frameworks, enhancing financial information management tools.
- Manage preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports, ensuring compliance with German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS standards.
- Perform regional operational and financial reporting to identify risk and opportunity areas and support managerial decision-making.
- Oversee enhancements in local financial systems and enforce internal control policies for regulatory and operational compliance.
- Ensure accurate tax calculations, filings, and compliance with local obligations including corporate tax, VAT, and trade tax.
- Maintain internal controls aligned with headquarters requirements and German regulatory bodies such as BaFin and tax authorities.
- Lead annual audit procedures, coordinate with external auditors, and ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations.
- Conduct profitability analyses on new vehicle sales, after-sales services, and finance and insurance operations, offering pricing strategy insights.
- Monitor dealer performance metrics including gross margin and inventory turnover to optimize operational efficiency.
- Evaluate financial impacts of business proposals to maximize profitability.
- Prepare regular cash flow forecasts and funding budgets to sustain solid cash flow management.
- Collaborate with headquarters on managing local foreign exchange exposures (EUR).
- Support additional financial management activities as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience; exposure to multinational corporations or Big 4 accounting firms is advantageous.
- Deep expertise in German financial reporting standards (HGB) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Fluency in English and German is essential; proficiency in Chinese is beneficial.
- Experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with SAP financial systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, capable of problem identification and resolution.
- Highly detail-oriented, responsible, and effective communicator.
- Results-driven with excellent analytical, summarization, and target-orientation capabilities.
