About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton, Doha is looking for a Senior Food and Beverage Service Expert to help deliver exceptional dining moments in a luxury resort environment. The position is based at the West Bay Lagoon property in Doha, Qatar, and is part of the full-time, non-management team.

This role is centered on creating refined guest experiences that reflect the brand’s Gold Standards. You will go beyond routine table service by reading guest needs in advance, tailoring interactions, and ensuring every visit feels personal and memorable. In addition to guest-facing duties, the role contributes to smooth daily operations, supports service quality, and helps guide newer team members.

Property Overview

The Doha property is a long-established 5-star resort with 374 rooms and suites, restaurants recognized for quality, spa and fitness facilities, indoor and outdoor pools, a private beach, a Club Lounge, and spaces for meetings and weddings. The environment combines luxury hospitality, event service, and a strong service culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver attentive, personalized service that reflects The Ritz-Carlton approach and standards.
  • Welcome guests warmly, learn their preferences, and help shape memorable dining experiences.
  • Handle guest questions, special requests, and concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Set up, maintain, and clear dining areas according to brand requirements.
  • Serve food and beverages with accuracy, efficiency, and polish.
  • Maintain strong product knowledge, including menu items, ingredients, allergens, and beverage selections.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, cleanliness, and organization standards at all times.
  • Support daily operations by helping keep service flowing smoothly.
  • Monitor timing, table turnover, and guest satisfaction during service.
  • Work in line with Marriott policies, operating procedures, and local health regulations.
  • Assist with stock handling, replenishment, and inventory awareness.
  • Lead by example through professional behavior and high service standards.
  • Help train and onboard new colleagues when required.
  • Coach junior associates and encourage a cooperative team environment.
  • Protect the brand’s Gold Standards, including Credo, Motto, and Three Steps of Service.
  • Maintain a polished appearance, proper grooming, and a neat workstation.

Requirements

  • A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management is preferred.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in food and beverage service is required, ideally in a luxury hotel.
  • Previous exposure to senior or supervisory responsibilities is an added advantage.
  • Strong English communication skills are needed; additional languages are beneficial.
  • Ability to work in a busy luxury hospitality setting.
  • Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Must be comfortable standing and walking for long periods.
  • Should be able to manage physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and reaching as part of the role.
  • Professional presentation and adherence to company standards are essential.
