Grounds Keeper Expert (Landscaper)

Role Overview

This full-time, non-management position is part of the Landscaping & Grounds team in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on keeping outdoor areas attractive, safe, and well-maintained across the property.

Key Duties

• Keep the grounds in good visual condition by monitoring outdoor areas regularly.
• Clean, repair, and replace features such as fountains, planters, and other landscape elements.
• Plant and replace flowers, bulbs, grass, trees, and shrubs as needed.
• Care for beds, baskets, and boxes by watering, weeding, trimming, and carrying out routine upkeep.
• Move or transplant trees, flowers, and shrubs when required.
• Trim and prune trees and shrubs to maintain healthy growth and appearance.
• Cut and edge grass in areas that lawn mowers cannot reach, and complete mowing, raking, and other lawn care tasks.
• Install, service, and operate irrigation systems.
• Collect and bag waste from exterior trash containers.
• Use dump trucks, tractors, trucks, and utility vehicles to move tools, supplies, materials, and debris.
• Wash, clean, and refuel equipment after use.

Safety and Work Standards

• Follow company policies, safety rules, and security procedures at all times.
• Report damaged equipment, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to a manager.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Protect company property and support the team in meeting shared goals.
• Meet quality expectations and standards while inspecting tools, equipment, and machines for defects.
• Perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, sitting for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance, and moving over uneven or slippery surfaces.
• Use ladders and perform bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, reaching, and other manual tasks as needed.
• Carry out snow removal and ice-management duties if applicable.
• Handle other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED-equivalent is preferred. The job requires at least one year of related work experience and no prior supervisory experience. A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
