Senior Fashion Designer - Boys' Kidswear (Ages 4-14)

About the Role

FirstCry.com (BrainBees Solutions Ltd.), based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is hiring a Senior Fashion Designer specializing in boys' kidswear, specifically targeting children aged 4 to 14 years. The position requires working on-site within the retail apparel and fashion industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research on prevailing and upcoming fashion trends to develop seasonal design concepts.
• Create mood boards and select color schemes to guide new collections.
• Design commercially viable boys' clothing collections appropriate for children aged 4 to 14 years.
• Prepare detailed Computer-Aided Designs (CADs), complete tech packs, prints, and graphic elements essential for product development.
• Collaborate closely with teams involved in merchandising and sourcing to obtain suitable fabrics and trims.
• Review product samples rigorously to ensure appropriate fit, quality standards, and timely project completion.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or an equivalent qualification.
• Possess 6 to 8 years of professional experience designing kids' boyswear.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for creating design elements.
• Deep understanding of fabric types, garment construction techniques, graphic design, and market fashion trends.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within teams.
