Role Overview
The Senior Executive in Finance & Accounts will be entrusted with managing various compliance-related responsibilities, including GST submissions, coordination of Form 16 for employees, and overseeing internal billing procedures. This position demands a thorough understanding of taxation regulations, financial reporting practices, and record maintenance. Key duties also include processing employee reimbursements, travel expense claims, vendor payments, and ensuring all disbursements comply with internal policies and audit standards.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage the filing of monthly and quarterly GST returns such as GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, ensuring deadlines are met promptly.
- Reconcile GST return data with the company’s accounting books and vendors’ GST filings.
- Collaborate closely with payroll and HR departments to accurately distribute Form 16 to employees.
- Ensure correct TDS deductions, deposits, and return filing for salaries and vendor disbursements.
- Review and monitor all internal expense bills for approval and accounting accuracy.
- Process regular payments through corporate and ENET bank accounts efficiently.
- Coordinate with banking partners for payment clarifications, fixed deposit schedules, and other daily banking operations.
- Work alongside external tax consultants and auditors for filing and clarifications related to tax matters.
- Maintain a compliance calendar to guarantee timely observance of statutory requirements.
- Prepare all necessary documentation for GST audits and income tax assessments.
- Validate vendor invoices for completeness and correctness prior to payment authorization.
- Check TDS and GST applicability concerning vendor reimbursement payments.
- Provide audit support by furnishing backup documents and reconciliation details as required.
- Generate MIS reports tracking reimbursement patterns and outstanding financial obligations.
- Assist the Finance Manager with additional payment processing and reconciliation activities as necessary.
Requirements
- Educational background including CA Inter, MBA (Finance), B.Com or M.Com, or an equivalent qualification in Taxation, Finance, or Accounts.
- Comprehensive knowledge of GST regulations, TDS provisions, and payroll tax requirements.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Oracle, for financial management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as adept documentation capabilities.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to compliance deadlines.
- Prior hands-on experience handling Form 16 and GST compliances within medium to large enterprises is advantageous.
