Position Overview
Join as the Executive Assistant to the CEO in New York City at a pioneering biotech company dedicated to accelerating drug development. You will partner closely with the CEO and the executive leadership team, optimizing the CEO's effectiveness by managing complex schedules and operations, and proactively anticipating needs within a fast-evolving environment. Your efforts will directly support the company’s mission to advance drug discovery through innovative technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all facets of the CEO’s intricate and dynamic calendar, travel plans, and communications with discretion and foresight.
- Identify potential scheduling overlaps, monitor critical deliverables, and dynamically align priorities with the CEO’s objectives.
- Serve as the chief liaison for internal teams and external stakeholders, maintaining professionalism and sound judgment at all times.
- Coordinate and manage logistics for internal and external meetings, ensuring preparedness with quality materials.
- Arrange comprehensive domestic and international travel itineraries.
- Collaborate with internal departments to organize board meetings, retreats, investor events, and company-wide gatherings.
- Safeguard confidential information while facilitating transparent and timely communication among the CEO, leadership, and partners.
Team Interaction
Work alongside the executive support team and cross-functional departments such as People, Finance, Communications, and Investor Relations. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will directly back the CEO and empower senior leadership to focus on strategic priorities.
Experience and Skills Required
- A minimum of seven years’ experience supporting C-level executives, preferably in a public company or rapidly growing firm.
- Strong interest in science, technology, and improving human health, especially within biotechnology.
- Proactive problem-solving and strategic anticipation of needs beyond task execution.
- Superb organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, adept at handling competing priorities gracefully.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing demands and deliver projects punctually amid interruptions.
- Comfortable managing work across multiple time zones and frequent international travel.
- Trustworthy handling of confidential and sensitive information, cultivating strong relationships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Slack.
- Preferred qualifications include a background in science or technology, experience supporting public company CEOs or investor-facing executives, enthusiasm for dogs, and willingness to occasionally travel with the CEO.
Work Location and Compensation
This role is based onsite at the New York City office located in Hudson Yards. The base annual salary is estimated between 130460 and 164780 USD, supplemented by an annual bonus, equity options, and a comprehensive benefits package.
