Job description
Role overview
This position focuses on overseeing and improving daily HR administration support within the Army. The role combines operational supervision, team guidance, and service delivery to keep HR processes effective, timely, and aligned with organisational needs.
Key responsibilities
- Direct a team while mentoring and coaching support staff and Full-Time National Servicemen (NSFs) so they can grow in their roles.
- Manage everyday administrative operations and work closely with stakeholders from different units to ensure work is carried out smoothly.
- Handle staff performance reviews and encourage ongoing learning and development opportunities.
- Use fresh ideas and process improvements to raise efficiency and strengthen service standards.
- Track key performance indicators and make sure tasks are completed on time.
Challenges in the role
- Keeping HR services current and effective as policies, initiatives, and directions continue to change.
- Checking that processes remain aligned with existing rules while maintaining the right competency standards.
What the organisation is seeking
- A background in Human Resource studies is preferred.
- Experience in HR administration is preferred, though candidates without experience may still apply.
- Exposure to employee experience management, HR policies, procedures, legislation, competency framework development and application, and customer experience or service design will be an advantage.
- Applicants should have strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills are important.
- Comfort with HR information systems, especially SAP, is beneficial.
