Position Overview
The City of Pearland, TX invites applications for a full-time Senior Executive Assistant to oversee daily administrative functions within the City Manager's Office. The role demands high-level support aimed at enhancing office efficiency.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a salary ranging from $61,900 to $75,000 annually, depending on qualifications. The city covers all dental, long-term disability, and life insurance premiums for employees, along with most of the medical premiums for employees and their dependents. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive clerical support including drafting correspondence, greeting visitors, scheduling meetings both onsite and virtually.
- Act as the liaison and represent the City Manager's Office in internal meetings and communications.
- Manage communications for the City Manager's Office and the City Council, both internally and externally.
- Prepare and organize materials for the City Manager's Office and Council, including producing weekly and monthly publications.
- Take minutes during meetings and manage calendars, schedules, and travel arrangements for the City Manager and Council members, anticipating their needs.
- Assist with business administrative tasks such as invoice processing, purchase order management, payroll assistance, and expense reporting.
- Support planning and execution of departmental events.
Additional Duties
- Serve as a representative on internal committees from the City Manager's Office.
- Coordinate internal meetings and schedules, including coverage calendars for breaks and vacations.
- Manage record retention processes ensuring files meet retention policies and handle public information requests.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, political science, or a closely related field is required.
- At least six years of mid- to senior-level administrative or similar experience is necessary.
