About GitLab
GitLab is an intelligent DevSecOps orchestration platform that helps organizations speed up software delivery, raise productivity, improve operational efficiency, and reduce security and compliance risk. The company is trusted by more than 50 million registered users and over half of the Fortune 100.
GitLab says its product principles also shape how the company operates: AI is expected to be used as a daily productivity tool across the team to improve efficiency, innovation, and impact. The organization describes itself as a high-performance, collaborative environment where knowledge sharing, strong values, and cross-functional teamwork help people grow while solving complex challenges.
Role Summary
This position is for a Senior Executive Assistant who will support two senior leaders in GitLab’s Chief Revenue Officer organization: the VP, Global Solution Architects and the VP, High Velocity Sales & Sales Development. The role is designed to keep both leaders focused on high-value work by taking ownership of the day-to-day coordination that keeps operations moving smoothly.
During the first year, the successful candidate is expected to build dependable working relationships, set consistent operating routines, and bring structure to scheduling, travel, events, recruiting coordination, and expense administration using tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Navan, and GitLab.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent executive support to both the VP, Global Solution Architects and the VP, High Velocity Sales & Sales Development, along with their teams.
- Manage demanding calendars across multiple time zones, while responding to shifting priorities and urgent scheduling needs.
- Guide leaders on how to prioritize, organize, delegate, and manage time more effectively.
- Handle end-to-end travel planning for domestic and non-U.S. trips, including airfare, ground transport, accommodation, security considerations, documentation, and itinerary updates.
- Organize and deliver team gatherings such as off-sites, team-building sessions, and company kickoffs.
- Work with recruiting and hiring teams to arrange interviews, manage candidate communication, and support onboarding logistics.
- Prepare and submit accurate monthly expense reports, including receipt tracking and reconciliation.
- Back up other executive support partners and contribute to special projects and ad hoc work across the broader CRO organization.
What You Need
- Background supporting more than one senior leader or VP-level executive at the same time in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong ability to identify needs early and reduce operational friction across teams.
- Proven experience managing complex calendars across multiple time zones and making sound scheduling recommendations.
- Ability to coordinate travel within the U.S. and internationally, including document handling and changes to plans.
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Navan, and related processes such as expense reporting and purchase support.
- Experience assisting with recruiting workflows and onboarding coordination.
- Clear, approachable, and effective communication across different teams and seniority levels.
- Highly organized and dependable approach to event planning and administrative operations.
- Comfort learning new tools quickly and adapting to evolving business requirements.
Team Environment
You will join the Chief Revenue Officer organization, where executive support plays a key role in helping leaders stay focused on the work that matters most. The team is globally distributed and works asynchronously, using shared documentation, standardized processes, and strong cross-functional collaboration to reduce friction and keep operations running smoothly.
