Senior Executive, Air Freight Product Capacity Management

About the Role

DHL Global Forwarding in Singapore is seeking a Senior Executive to manage air freight product capacity. The role centres on daily freight planning, ensuring optimal utilization of airline space, and supporting the export process. The successful candidate will address inquiries, handle documentation, foster strong carrier relationships, and proactively plan freight capacity to meet commercial demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to daily air freight planning and assist in executing shipment tasks.
• Respond to internal teams and overseas offices, addressing their questions efficiently.
• Book and secure required airline space for shipments each day.
• Optimize and maximize Building Unit Pallets (BUPs) for full capacity utilization.
• Anticipate and forecast capacity requirements based on commercial activity and trends.
• Track and ensure timely updates regarding final airline loads.
• Oversee the completion and accuracy of export documentation for shipments.
• Manage and resolve inquiries or complaints from both internal and external stakeholders.
• Build and maintain positive working connections with partner carriers.
• Accept additional responsibilities as assigned by the organization.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Possess a diploma or bachelor’s degree.
• Bring at least 4 to 6 years of relevant experience, ideally within the air freight industry.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of air freight and cargo operations.
• Capable of efficiently managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
