Senior Engineer / Executive - Tool Design

Job Overview

Join Larsen & Toubro as a Senior Engineer or Executive specializing in Tool Design within the Greater Coimbatore area. This position involves full-time, onsite responsibilities focusing on developing innovative tooling solutions and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop tool design concepts, 3D CAD models, and assembly layouts using advanced CAD software.
• Conduct structural sizing, perform engineering calculations, and validate stresses for lifting and handling equipment.
• Implement GD&T standards, execute tolerance stack-up analysis, and design precise interfaces for large scale assemblies.
• Create comprehensive manufacturing drawings, bills of materials, and procedural documentation to support production.
• Ensure all designs and processes comply with relevant statutory, regulatory, and safety requirements.
• Prepare and maintain complete technical documentation necessary for CE marking including detailed design reports, hazard and risk assessments, technical files, declarations of conformity, user manuals, maintenance guides, and protocols for Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FAT/SAT).
• Liaise with vendors and external partners to select and verify components and subsystems, including drives and gearboxes.
