Job description
Role overview
A founder-led Australian fashion label is expanding successfully across several international Shopify stores and needs a practical, hands-on eCommerce specialist to take ownership of the online channel’s day-to-day performance. This role suits someone who works directly in Shopify every day and can manage trading, merchandising, launches, promotions, and conversion improvement end to end. You’ll collaborate closely with the founder and a small team, with your work having clear commercial impact each week.
Key responsibilities
- Take charge of the daily running of multiple regional Shopify stores, covering merchandising, product launches, campaign configuration, and promotion execution.
- Improve conversion performance by spotting opportunities across product pages, collection pages, search, and checkout, then testing changes to drive better results.
- Oversee email and SMS lifecycle activity, including automations, audience segmentation, and campaign execution.
- Prepare and present weekly trading summaries, turning performance metrics into practical commercial actions.
- Manage the eCommerce technology stack, including onsite search, merchandising, returns, and customer support systems.
- Work with developers and external partners to brief, coordinate, and deliver website enhancements.
- Carry out routine website checks and quality assurance across markets and devices.
What the employer is seeking
- At least 3–5+ years of direct Shopify experience, with a genuinely hands-on role in the platform rather than remote oversight.
- Experience within fashion, apparel, or lifestyle direct-to-consumer brands is strongly preferred, especially in multi-store or multi-market setups.
- A track record of improving key commercial metrics such as conversion rate, average order value, and revenue per session.
- Strong working knowledge of email and SMS platforms, with Klaviyo experience especially valuable, along with GA4 and reporting tools.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-moving, founder-led environment by being self-directed, commercially focused, and willing to get involved wherever needed.
- Bonus capability in Shopify Liquid, HTML/CSS, or in preparing technical briefs for developers.
