- Define product evolution governance, deprecation strategies, and modernization paths to unify efforts and boost adoption.
- Create cross-team governance frameworks and planning cadences supporting complex, multi-team programs.
- Translate corporate priorities into multi-phase product strategies with clear investment rationale and success metrics.
- Champion quality standards like Definition of Ready and Done to ensure requirement clarity and delivery consistency.
- Mentor junior product managers within the portfolio, fostering professional growth and strong product culture.
- Support commercial goals through partnership with sales and customer success teams on renewals, expansions, and roadmap communications.
- Commit to up to 30% travel, including leadership summits, monthly onsite meetings in Austin, and partner visits.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience (12+ years) in product management with significant time (5+ years) directing complex, multi-domain technical portfolios.
- Proven success in owning product P&L and full lifecycle from concept through sustained market adoption.
- Deep technical understanding of platform architectures, APIs, data pipelines, search systems, authentication, entitlement, and billing.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership skills aligning teams globally across Product, Engineering, Design, and Go-to-Market functions.
- Strong communication skills adept at conveying complex technical and strategic ideas clearly to executives.
- Advanced analytical skills to manage KPI frameworks and optimize portfolio prioritization and tradeoffs.
- Experience establishing governance and operating models for multi-team, multifaceted programs.
- Background in foundational/platform products serving internal and external customers is preferred.
- Skilled at mentoring product management talent and promoting modern AI-native workflows and operating practices.
- Familiarity with AI professional tools like Claude and ChatGPT.
- Experience in e-commerce, SaaS, or platform technology sectors is highly desirable.
- Ability to function across different time zones and collaborate closely with regional stakeholders.
