About the Role

This position is for a seasoned business growth leader who will shape and drive initiatives that expand revenue opportunities, deepen strategic alliances, and support the company’s long-term expansion. The role combines high-level strategy with hands-on leadership across partnership development, market expansion, and enterprise-wide collaboration.

The successful candidate will partner with executive stakeholders and teams across the organization to assess new opportunities, strengthen external relationships, and advance growth priorities. This is suited to a leader with a strong background in relationship building, strategic planning, and organizational leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and execute business development plans that align with the organization’s goals.
  • Spot and pursue new opportunities that contribute to durable growth.
  • Review market movements, customer expectations, and competitor activity to guide strategy.
  • Design forward-looking plans that improve market positioning.
  • Contribute to longer-term business planning efforts.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with strategic partners and important stakeholders.
  • Find collaboration opportunities that generate lasting business value.
  • Coordinate partnership planning with teams across functions.
  • Help strengthen and broaden the partner ecosystem.
  • Encourage joint initiatives that advance business objectives.
  • Assess emerging markets and growth avenues.
  • Carry out industry research and competitive intelligence analysis.
  • Identify ways to build a stronger market presence.
  • Support expansion programs and growth initiatives.
  • Prepare business cases and recommendations for growth decisions.
  • Work closely with Operations, Product, Marketing, Finance, Customer Success, Legal, Technology, and Corporate Strategy teams.
  • Ensure business development work stays aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Support strategic programs that cut across the enterprise.
  • Keep communication flowing smoothly between multiple functions.
  • Promote teamwork that contributes to organizational growth.
  • Define and track KPIs and performance measures for business development.
  • Prepare reports and executive-level presentations.
  • Evaluate market performance and business opportunities using data.
  • Support decision-making through evidence and analysis.
  • Drive accountability through structured reviews and reporting routines.
  • Lead, coach, and develop business development team members.
  • Build a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
  • Support leadership growth and succession planning.
  • Encourage innovation and ongoing improvement.
  • Model organizational values and strong leadership practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Finance, Economics, or a similar field.
  • At least 12 years of progressive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, corporate strategy, sales leadership, or another closely related business function.
  • Proven success in building growth strategies and forming strategic partnerships.
  • Solid knowledge of market assessment, business planning, and organizational growth.
  • Strong capability in leadership, communication, analysis, and negotiation.
  • Experience working with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • MBA or another advanced business-focused degree is preferred.
  • Background in technology, SaaS, artificial intelligence, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, or professional services is preferred.
  • Experience supporting domestic or international business initiatives is preferred.
  • Ability to lead high-performing business development teams is preferred.

Additional Information

This role is based in the United States and is structured as a full-time onsite position.
