Role Overview

The Senior Director / Engagement Executive is the senior leader responsible for Eskaton’s largest and most critical client relationships. This role oversees high-value, multimillion-dollar engagements, acts as the top strategic advisor to clients, and ensures strong delivery, financial performance, and account expansion.

The position requires a balance of executive leadership and hands-on involvement. The right candidate will provide oversight across portfolios, initiatives, and workstreams while also stepping in to help resolve urgent client issues, support key deliverables, and guide engagement teams when needed.

In this role, you will serve as the main escalation point for complex account matters and will help align delivery execution, staffing, financial goals, and growth priorities across assigned clients.

Client & Account Leadership

Act as the executive sponsor and engagement leader for strategic client accounts.
Build and maintain strong relationships with client executives and decision-makers.
Own the escalation path for major risks, challenges, and strategic decisions.
Strengthen client satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnership value.
Spot opportunities to broaden account scope and add new services.

Portfolio & Delivery Oversight

Provide senior oversight across several programs, initiatives, and workstreams.
Ensure work is delivered at a high standard and produces successful client outcomes.
Collaborate with initiative leads, project managers, and workstream owners to keep priorities aligned.
Track program status, milestones, risk areas, staffing, and financial performance.
Offer strategic direction while supporting critical delivery and client-facing work when necessary.
Keep engagement execution aligned with client goals and expectations.

Leadership & Talent Development

Coach and support Managers, Directors, Initiative Leads, and Workstream Leads.
Contribute to staffing plans, succession planning, and leadership development.
Promote teamwork and accountability across engagement teams.
Provide feedback, coaching, and professional growth support to team members.

Business Growth & Strategic Impact

Assist with business development, proposal preparation, and growth initiatives.
Contribute to service innovation, solution design, and internal intellectual property.
Represent Eskaton in executive discussions, industry gatherings, and thought leadership efforts.
Lead strategic initiatives that enhance firm capabilities and market standing.

Financial & Operational Stewardship

Manage account profitability, forecasting, staffing approaches, and resource allocation.
Review budgets, contract performance, and revenue targets.
Maintain operational discipline, compliance, and risk controls across the portfolio.
Work with firm leadership on long-term growth and organizational priorities.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree such as a master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
At least 15 years of experience in consulting, program leadership, or executive management.
Proven track record of overseeing multimillion-dollar accounts and large client portfolios.
Experience guiding enterprise programs, strategic efforts, and cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage executive stakeholders and navigate complex client environments.

Preferred Background

Experience in Big 4 or similarly scaled consulting leadership is strongly preferred.
Certifications such as PMP, Prosci, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or comparable credentials are preferred.
Background in public sector, government, or enterprise transformation work is an advantage.
Demonstrated success in account growth and business development is preferred.

Physical Requirements

Regular travel is required for executive client meetings, planning sessions, and business development activities.
The role also requires extended computer use and participation in both virtual and in-person leadership meetings.

Work Details

This is a full-time, exempt role based remotely, with approximately 40% client travel.
