Role Mission
We are seeking a Senior Designer specializing in Sportstyle Womenswear who will play a pivotal role in shaping seasonal core collections. The successful candidate will translate trend insights into modern and appealing designs that align with business goals and category strategies, driving product evolution through fresh, trend-appropriate innovations.
This role emphasizes enhancing collection quality via fabric selection, construction innovation, and detailed finishing to improve functionality and perceived value across a broad product range. The designer will uphold franchise standards to ensure consistent brand messaging within womenswear lines, delivering consumer-driven design content that strengthens PUMA's brand presence.
Key responsibilities include market and trend analysis with a focus on women's fashion directions and cultural developments, autonomous integration of product and technical advancements, prototype finalization through factory visits, and timely project delivery aligned with the PUMA development calendar. Maintaining accuracy in design documentation within internal data systems is also essential.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related discipline.
- 6 to 8 years of apparel design experience in leading sports or lifestyle brands, preferably with womenswear and high-volume core ranges.
- Demonstrated expertise in evolving collections with trend-relevant innovations that sustain commercial appeal.
- Strong proficiency in materials, construction techniques, and engineering functionality into products.
- Comprehensive knowledge of franchise and range architecture enabling precise execution within set frameworks.
- Strategic thinking paired with creativity and a focus on effective implementation.
- Proficient with industry-standard design software including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
- In-depth technical understanding of fabrics and product development processes.
- Consumer-centric approach with a vertical mindset.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong time management abilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling capabilities.
- Fluent English language skills.
